S U T U R A

Latin; a sewing together

-

Illustrates internal healing as if it were a mutualistic ecosystem.

The dual suturebirds utilize the moth's silk to repair their habitat: the heart. This enables the branches of the heart to grow and produce foliage and flowers for the caterpillars, as well as structure for nests to be built and cocoons to be spun. The birds, moths and heart benefit from the partnership. The inner world is a complex place; it requires multiple avenues of healing and support working together to thrive.
